Profile

Hello, I'm Daniel M.R.

Build & Release Engineer

I'm a Build & Release Engineer at Gamebreaking Studios, where I develop and maintain the infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD pipelines behind game development. Outside of work, I build games and experiment with graphics, engine programming, and development tools. I enjoy solving complex technical problems, designing reliable systems, and constantly learning how things work under the hood.

Building reliable infrastructure for game development

Gamebreaking Studios
Junior Build & Release Engineer

I joined Gamebreaking Studios as a Build & Release Engineering Intern and was later promoted to Junior Build & Release Engineer. I work on BespokeCI, developing and maintaining the build infrastructure, automation, and release pipelines that support game development teams.

  • Develop build automation, CI/CD pipelines, and release workflows for game development projects.
  • Work with Jenkins, Perforce, Git, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and internal tooling to improve reliability and developer workflows.
  • Investigate production issues, optimize engineering processes, and collaborate across teams to deliver more reliable development infrastructure.

Clamor Lycanis
Clamor Lycanis is my largest personal game project and the final project for my Computer Science degree. Built in Unreal Engine 5, it explores atmospheric horror, environmental storytelling, and gameplay systems while serving as an opportunity to deepen my understanding of Unreal Engine, C++, and large-scale project architecture.
aVoid

aVoid
aVoid is an experimental puzzle-platformer that I created to explore gameplay programming and game design. The core mechanic records every previous attempt and replays it as an obstacle, forcing players to continuously adapt their strategy. The project serves as a playground for experimenting with gameplay systems, architecture, and iteration.

Capybara Combat Experience - CCE
CCE is a beat 'em up game inspired by life at the Federal University of Viçosa and developed as a university team project. I worked alongside two classmates to design and implement a fast-paced 2.5D combat experience inspired by classic arcade beat 'em ups.
